News Release Project HIRE February 9 Hiring Event

Employers and job seekers will seek to connect at a Jobs One-Stop Hiring event Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the Amvets Hall, 818 Tarlton Road in Circleville, Ohio. This collaborative event for residents of Fairfield, Pickaway and Ross Counties will be held from 9am-noon. This Hiring Event is that vital face-to-face job interview opportunity.

Project HIRE is a stimulus funded program being offered through ODOD,ODJFS, and the Ohio Board of Regents. Project HIRE is an incentive for employers to hire dislocated workers.

Ohio Leaning Accounts of up to $6,000.00 per dislocated worker hired are available to eligible employers for short-term training or on-the-job training for each worker hired.

Employer requirements include hiring the worker prior to training being provided; dislocated worker must remain on job 6 months after training completion; position must pay a self-sufficient wage; employers may be eligible for Work Opportunity Tax Credits after hiring these individuals.
